Marian teaches an integrated style using the principles of alignment, back care, the element of the breath and pranic energy to bring the mind, body and spirit into balance in the practice. Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced and Pre-Natal/Post Natal students are all welcome.
Training and Qualifications
Yoga and Ayurveda studies under Yogacharya Mohanan - Switzerland since 1999, completed IYTA Diploma of Yoga Teaching - 2003, lectured Yoga, Meditation and Ayurveda - 2005-2009 and Head of Yoga faculty at Nature Care College – 2009. Completed Yoga workshops eg: Manju Jois – 2005, Donna Farhi - 2004 & 2005 and Judith Lasater - 2006 & 2008.
Bio
Marian has an extensive career in creative arts education, Traditional Indian Ayurvedic Therapies, Yoga teaching and Yoga teacher training both in Australia and internationally.
Marian incorporates elements of both disciplines to encourage her students to develop a deeper understanding of their true nature. Yoga has been an intrinsic part of Marian’s life for almost 3 decades as evidenced by her lightness of being, empathy for others, meaningful relationships and her dedication to her student’s. Marian established a friendly home Yoga studio that grew into a vibrant and nurturing Yoga community on the North Shore. Always one to remain a student herself, Marian embraces the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of the ancient Yogic path and shares her knowledge with an open heart. Marian encourages her students to find balance, peace, tranquillity and simplicity in their practice and daily life.
